Export Custodians and Containers for the Case (Project)

A list of existing Custodians and Containers for the Case (Project) may be exported for reporting purposes as well as checking the formatting required for importing Custodians into a Case (Project). A custodian must have a Container in order to be listed in the export file properly. If there are no Custodians or Containers in the Case (Project), then the .CSV file displays the column headers only.

  1. In the Client Management Tree View, select the Case (Project).

  2. If you are exporting Containers, on the Status and Summary pane, click the Containers tab.

    1. Click . The Save As dialog box appears.
    2. Navigate to the location where the file is to be saved. A default file name displays in the File Name field:

      Containers_[Project name of Project]_year_month_day_[hr_min].CSV

    3. Click Save. The .CSV file contains the following column headers:
      • Container Name - required

      • Custodian - column required, description optional

      • Discovery Job

      • Data Extract Job

      • Processing Job

      • Container Path

  3. If you are exporting Custodians, on the Status and Summary pane, click the Custodians tab.

    1. Click . The Save As dialog box appears.
    2. Navigate to the location where the file will be saved. A default file name displays in the File Name field:

      Custodians_[Project name of Project]_year_month_day_[hr_min].CSV

    3. Click Save. The .CSV file contains the following column headers:
      • Custodian Name - required

      • Custodian Description - column required, description optional

      • Job Name

      • Container Name

      • Container Path
